As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons. New York: Dial Press, 1964. First printing. One of the greatest comic novels out of the UK in the 1930s, this hilarious parody of traditional rural novels has been a cult classic ever since. It was Stella Gibbon's first triumph and nothing she wrote later was as successful. This is the extremely rare first U.S. edition, illustrated by New Yorker cartoonist Charles Saxon. Book is fine in a very good dust jacket, slightly reinforced with tape.
