Why We Love This

Rare vintage French school poster lithograph from the midcentury. Colorful scene of a market in a North African city, made during a period when North Africa was still largely colonized by France. Rich in detail, as its purpose is to develop the language skills of young pupils. Signed by Helene Poirie. Original metal hanging rods and ribbon. Easy to remove with an exacto knife, if desired.

About Le Trip

Jill Mitchell has been living in France for decades and has amassed a collection of the best sources in Paris and Provence. (She offers vintage shopping tours in the spring and fall.) Now a part of the One King's Lane family, she's delighted to share her French mid-century school posters, a broad selection with many themes, found in the markets of France. New posters will be added weekly.
