Why We Love This

Vintage American quilt, Double Wedding Ring, circa 1935. Favored by quilters across early 20th-century America, this design was made frequently, but successfully piecing all those curves was not for the beginner and fine examples are uncommon. Most often made of sweet pastel printed patches, here we see powerful solid reds and blues in strong contrast to the white ground with a vibrant, exuberant effect.

Also found in their collection are fine examples of painted country furniture, political bandanas, paintings, pottery, and American folk art.
