Why We Love This

Incredible photograph by collected NYC photographer Alexander Alland of what appears to be 5th Avenue, signed and dated 1938. In 1939 Alland provided the photographs to accompany Felix Reisenberg's text in Portrait of New York, a documentary style book meant to coincide with the opening of the World's Fair. This photograph includes an exhibition number and the remains of an exhibition sticker. Mat is weathered, photo not examined out of the mat. Photo, 13"H x 10"W.
