As described by
Samuel McChord Crothers: The Children of Dickens by Samuel McChord Crothers. NY: Scribner's, 1925. First Edition. Ten full-page color plates by Jessie Wilcox Smith, 259 pages, with pictorial endpapers. Very fine in black cloth on boards with a slight abrasion at the base of the spine, and in its original pictorial—and very scarce—dust jacket, which is very mildly worn and chipped. A wonderful copy.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
