Why We Love This

Pair of silverplate figural baskets. One has two bugle boys, two pheasants, four gryphons, and four hooves. The second has an eagle with spread wings, four gryphons, four hooves, four moose heads and a graceful lady with basket on her head. Bugle boys basket marked "Made and plated by Reed Barton" and "Design Pat. Date 1869." The eagle basket is marked "Middletown Plate Co. Tripleplate" (1864 - '99). Dimensions: bugle boys, 8.5"Dia x 7.75"H (with handle up); eagle, 8.5"Dia x 12.5"H.
