Why We Love This

Photochrom of the Royal Poinciana hotel in Palm Beach, printed by the Detroit Photographic Company, 1900. Starting with a black and white negative, the photochrom process used stone lithography to produce lifelike and yet uniquely evocative color prints. This photochrom shows Henry Flagler's hotel, a South Florida attraction from its opening in 1894 until it was razed during the Great Depression. Print, 7"H x 9"W (borderless) in a cream acid-free mat.
