Life at the Dakota: New York's Most Unusual Address by Stephen Birmingham. New York: Random House, 1979. First Edition. 241 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. Entertaining history describing the lives of the rich and trendy who lived at the Dakota, including Boris Karloff, John Lennon, and Lauren Bacall. Interestingly, this book was published prior to Lennon's shooting. Illustrated with b photographs. There is also an insert noting several errors in printing.
