Hardcover. 257 pages with 37 tissue-guarded black and white plates showing the house and its occupants, including George Washington, who was headquartered there in 1776. An important book. Bookplate. About fine in lightly edge-nicked apple green cloth with a pictorial cover, top edge gilt.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
