Portraits of the Founders: Portraits of Persons Born Abroad Who Came to the Colonies in North America Before the Year 1701 by Charles Knowles Bolton. The Boston Athenaeum, 1919. In two volumes with the final volume added in 1926. Hardcovers in navy blue cloth with gilt lettering on the covers and spines. No dust jackets, as issued. The three volumes are continuously numbered, and have collectively 1,103 pp with more than 235 illustrations. All in excellent condition.
