Why We Love This

Painting of a horse titled Jack - A Study of a Grey Cob in a Stable. Signed and dated "John Emms, 1904" for John Emms (1843-1912). Emms is one of the most recognized English animal portrait painters. This piece was acquired from Burlington Paintings of London in 2000. Receipts and correspondence regarding the painting are included. Displayed in a burl mahogany frame with fabric liner. Canvas, 15.5"H x 19.5"W.
