As described by
T.S. Arthur and Virginia Townsend edited Arthur's Home Magazine, a popular ladies' periodical published in Philadelphia. This copy contains the 12 issues for 1867, including steel engravings, fashions, poems and works by well-known authors, as well as housekeeping hints and recipes. Scattered page-browning, but a very good copy in marbled paper on boards with a leather spine and corners.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
