Rufus Choate: The Wizard of the Law by Claude M. Fuess. NY: Archon, 1970. Reproduced, unchanged, from a 1928 original at Yale Library. 278 pp. Hardcover with dust jacket. Rufus Choate (1799-1859) was a prominent Boston lawyer, member of the U. S. House from 1831 to 1834, and U. S. Senator from 1841 to 1845. Two faint stains on spine of dust jacket, one very small stain on lower title page. Unread, with a trace of edgewear on dust jacket.
About the Seller
Julie Goldman has been collecting books all her life. As a child, she spent many days haunting the used book stores on 4th Avenue in NYC with her father. Most collectors become booksellers out of necessity, and Goldman began selling about 15 years ago. The library lions are the pair of stone lions who guard the New York Public Library.
