As described by L'Affichiste Vintage Posters

A beautiful poster produced by an artist known as van der Vecht, and printed in Amsterdam in 1917 to promote a business school on Overtoom street, which still exists. Mercury, the god of business, trade, profit and commerce, is shown with an owl, the Athenian symbol of wisdom. The lithograph is in wonderful shape and is mounted on linen.
