An Inquiry into the Causes and Effects of the Variolae Vaccinae by Edward Jenner. Birmingham: The Classics of Medicine Library, 1978. 75 pages. Oversize. Concerns "a disease discovered in some of the western counties of England, particularly Gloucestershire, and known by the name of the cow pox." Printed by lithography from an original 1798 edition published by Sampson Low, London, a very fine copy bound in top grain cowhide with 22-karat gold-gilt decorative stamping.
