As described by Tansu Design

Japanese silk brocade maru obi from the Meiji period (circa 1900). Maru obis are the most formal of the obis and were used for weddings. Patterned on both sides with elaborate use of gold threads woven through repeating fan, flowers, gifts and drum designs. It can be used as a table runner or as a wall hanging.
