Why We Love This

George Rumrill produced may beautiful vases, novelty items and kitchenware for Red Wing Pottery from 1932 to 1938. After Rumrill left Red Wing he formed alliances with Shawnee Pottery, Florence Pottery and eventually Gonder Pottery all in and around Zanesville, Ohio. From 1938 to 1942 Mr. Rumrill designed a line of Art Pottery under his name including this 8" footed vase resembling an opening flower. Four petals comprise the rim of the vase which is incised "Rum Rill H-38 USA" on the underside.
