Why We Love This

S.S. Van Dine mystery series. Six volumes, various authors. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1928. Each between 300-400 pages includes Croft, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Philip MacDonald and Gaston Leroux. Each bound in beautiful black faux leather with a Deco rendering of a knight embossed on the cover. Spine embossed, and has raised titles. Each has frontis illustration under onion skin. A beautiful group from the fabulous van Dine series! Lacking dust jacket.
