Why We Love This

Set of five plates designed by Parisian ceramicist Jean Luce for Arzberg. The pattern, JLU1, depicts gold wavy lines radiating in a circular pattern from the center. The set includes two salad plates (7.5"Dia) and three bread plates (6"Dia). Luce (1895 - 1964) was a French ceramicist. Painted by hand or from stencils, his motifs were linear and naturalistic in the Art Moderne manner, highlighted with gold for luxury pieces.

About cushionchicago

cushionchicago is a Midwestern hub of restoration and revival, where multiple eras enjoy a common thread of good design. Danish Modern pairs with primitives. Rust meets midcentury sleek. Peeling paint accompanies shiny chrome. With a background in historic preservation and architecture, its founder turns a trained eye on the beautiful and unusual, from pillows that pop to timeless lamps and industrial accents. Curated finds from yesterday enhance the sophisticated home and garden of today.
