Why We Love This

Pair of Bates bedcovers in a floral motif, circa 1940. Benjamin E. Bates chose Lewiston, Maine, as the site for his textile mills, which manufactured his namesake cotton bedspreads from the mid-19th to the late-20th century. Unusually large, these spreads are in mint condition and will fit queen size beds.
