As described by L. Brook Rare Books

For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway. Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1940. First Edition, with the Scribner's "A." A very good copy of the famous novel. Laid in is the New York Times Book Review, dated October 20, 1940. Also the advertisement for the novel. Very interesting. 473 pages. Hardcover missing dust jacket.

About the Seller

L. Brook Rare Books
L. Brook Rare Books

I've been a dealer in rare books and art for over 30 years. I spent my early years training and providing animals for films, stage and TV. It was great fun, and evolved into a love for finding rare books and art, with a bias towards things "dog, horse and cat." I look for rarity, condition, and price when deciding which items to offer for sale. Uniqueness and value are what will drive my siteā€”and although my love of animals is obvious, I strive to offer items that are diverse and exciting.
