    As described by McNaught Fine Art

    A period Post-Impressionist-style oil still-life of a casserole dish on a folding chair in front of a rustic armoire. Estate stamp on verso for Victor Di Gesu (American, 1914-1988) and painted circa 1955. A winner of the Prix d'Othon Friesz, Di Gesu studied in Paris with Andre Lhote at the Academie Chaumiere. He exhibited widely and with success, including at the Louvre, the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Unframed.
