Why We Love This

Midcentury floral oil painting by Marlene Buckbee (b. 1945, Minnesota). The artist moved to California in 1966 where she received wide acclaim for her unique personal style in capturing nature. She also designed sets for Hollywood television productions. This exuberant example of her work features lyrical white and orange flowers set against a green and yellow background. Signed lower right with artist info on verso. Unframed.
