The Physiology of Taste: Or, Meditations on Transcendental Gastronomy by Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. NY: The Heritage Press, 1949, copyright by Macy's. Translated by M.F.K. Fisher. Includes profuse annotations by the translator and illustrations by Sylvain Sauvage. Lacking slipcase and Sandglass, probably issued without either. Boards are gray print on blue cloth, silver lettering.
