A Child's Garden of Verses by Robert Louis Stevenson. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1905. First printing of this edition. 125 pages. Includes 12 tissue-guarded color plates by Jessie Willcox Smith and profuse black and white drawings. Three owner inscriptions on the front end paper and the following blank page. Otherwise in very good condition. Bound in mildly rubbed black cloth, with a small scrape on the front cover illustration. Top edge is gilt.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
