Painting of a French chateau and gardens by Marie Jeanne Dreyfus-Lourier (French, 1872-1955). Signed lower right. Dreyfus-Lourier studied in Paris at the Academie des Beaux-Arts (one of the five academies of the Institut de France). Her talent was evident as her submissions to the Salon of the Societe des Artistes Francais were accepted for exhibition and she was made a member in 1925. Presented in a carved and gilded Louis XIV-style frame with a linen liner.
