Why We Love This

A modernist seascape of numerous colorful boats at harbor. A work of freshness and vitality by this notable American Post-Impressionist painter. Signed lower right, "Alex Redein" for Alexander Redein (American, 1912-1990) and dated 1947. Redeins's work is held in the permanent collections of museums including the Smithsonian, the Whitney Museum of Art and the National Academy of Design. Unframed.

About McNaught Fine Art

A 1986 graduate of Christie's Fine Arts of London, I headed the fine art department of a West Coast auction house before opening my own gallery. Each painting I represent is selected with care. I believe fine art to be an integral part of life, illuminating both our vision and our values for our children. As time passes, our paintings become heirlooms, enriched with our shared memories. Many things come and go. Art abides. - Anthony McNaught
