As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Dark Green, Bright Red by Gore Vidal. NY: E.P. Dutton, 1950. First printing. Lovely copy of Vidal's rare fifth novel. A fallen dictator receives financial backing from an American fruit company. The first Vidal novel to assert that the US is an imperialistic nation that uses money and power to destabilize and control the world's governments and economies. Cloth spine and boards are fine, in bright dust jacket with minor wear on edges and small stain to back.
