Why We Love This

Fantastic antique Peking rug woven in China during the early years of the 20th century. A truly exceptional work so masterfully designed and brilliantly crafted that it is almost in a class by itself. Delicate vine-like cloudbands arrayed as diagonal strips repeat gracefully across the soft tan field.

About Nazmiyal

Jason Nazmiyal, the owner of the Manhattan-based rug company that bears his name, has been buying and selling antique and vintage rugs for three decades. His goal is not merely to find and offer the finest handcrafted rugs—worthy though that goal is—but also to share his knowledge of and passion for the art form. His collection, which ranges from Moroccan runners to Swedish flatweaves to antique Oushaks, shows that he continues to achieve both ambitions.
