As described by Cynthia Belliveau

Charming watercolor by a Japanese-American artist. The sparing composition and humble subject is characteristic of scene painting, also known as the Regionalist Style of the early 1930s. Signed "Paul" in addition to a Japanese character and dated 9/22/35. Presented in a wood frame painted green.
