Exceptional and rare famille rose tureen in the shape of a pheasant with the ladle making the tail atop matching platter. Bearing the iron red Qianlong mark of the Qing Dynasty and the original price tag from the early 1950s merchant. The flat ladle may indicate that this piece was not made for export. Dimensions: ladle, 15"L; platter, 16"L x 11.25"W x 1.5"H; tureen, 16.5"L x 7.2"W x 9.5"H.
