As described by Jonathan Ross Gallery

Tour de l’Horloge a Bar-le-Duc (clock tower at Bar-le-Duc) was painted by the French artist Elisée Maclet (1881-1962) in the early 20th century. Maclet moved to Montmartre in 1906 and his work anticipated the themes and style that Maurice Utrillo would eventually use. Maclet worked until the early 1930s. Signed middle center and titled on verso. Painting, 25.75"H x 18.5"H. Presented in a carved giltwood frame with a linen liner.

About the Seller

Jonathan Ross Gallery

The gallery philosophy is to acquire and offer only those unique works I admire and consider to be of exceptional value. The foundation for this is the expertise gleaned over 35 years in the business of buying and selling fine art, owning three New York City galleries, and exhibiting at major art fairs. We go forward with this tradition. Ars longa, vita brevis.
