As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Vuillard by John Russell. Greenwich, CT: New York Graphic Society Ltd, 1971. First Printing. 238 pages. One of the first, groundbreaking monographs on Vuillard that coincided with a retrospective of his work in Toronto, San Francisco and Chicago. He emerges as one of the more important Post-Impressionists, a master of small-scale interiors and also the creation of larger decorative schemes, heavily influenced by the craze for Japanese art, in his time.
