As described by Job Youshaei Rug Company, Inc.

Hand-knotted thick pile rug from Ardabil in northwestern Iran. The area produced what are considered the most famous Persian rugs, a 16th-century pair known as the Ardabil Carpets, one housed at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the other at LACMA in Los Angeles.
