As described by Autrefois Antiques

Pair of sconces with a profile of a man at the top of one and the profile a woman on the other, both of which face each other. At the base of each sconce is a green man's smiling face. Bobeches and back plates have small wire ways. Sconces hang from bronze brackets on reverse, or could use a screw through the center of each. Tinges of verdigris on the finish.

About the Seller

Autrefois Antiques
Autrefois Antiques

Autrefois Antiques has been in business in Boston for more than 28 years. The owner, Maria Rowe, was trained by her parents, visiting the museums and auction houses of Europe and bringing in containers of antiques from France, Italy, England and Holland. The emphasis has always been on well constructed and beautiful furniture. The business has evolved, and now 20th-century furnishings, mirrors, art and decorations are juxtaposed with items from the 17th through 19th century.
