As described by dr carrot

Archy and Mehitabel by Don Marquis. New York: Doubleday, Doran Company, 1931. Hardcover. 196 pp. Whimsical tales of Archy, a cockroach, and his friend Mehitabel the alley cat. Archy wrote by jumping on typewriter keys in a newspaper office but could not work more than one key at a time, hence his lower case style throughout. Original small sticker from the Hollywood Bookstore affixed to back endpaper.
