Second edition, 302 pages, with 75 black-and-white and 200 color illustrations, chronicling the rise of great American country houses built by American fortunes from the end of the Civil War until the beginning of World War II. A very fine copy, softcover, in pictorial wrappers.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
