Why We Love This

India ink pen drawing for the "Pall Mall Gazette," October 8,1891, on the birth of Queen Victoria's 34th grandchild. Signed "A. Rackham" lower right for Arthur Rackham (English, 1884-1939). Accompanied by a letter from Frank Hollings, London Booksellers, dated 1955. The drawing shows the queen wearing the Imperial Crown sitting in the corner of a shoe surrounded by children and a nurse holding Prince Maurice of Battenberg. Image, 9”H x 11"W.
