As described by
Quest for the Best by Stanley Marcus, the former chairman of Neiman-Marcus. New York: Viking Press, 1979. Later printing, 227 pages, 18 black-and-white illustrations that point up Marcus's search for quality in retailing and elsewhere. Still an excellent read in its persistence on finding the best. A few tiny marginal stains, but an excellent copy, signed by Marcus on the front endpaper, and bound in boards and a very good dust jacket.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
