As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. New York: Harper and Row, 1971. First Edition, first printing. First published in Britain in 1963 under the name Victoria Lucas, this is a perfect copy of the rare first US edition. Book is fine. Jacket is unfaded and unclipped. Plath's only novel, a moving portrait of the mental instability which led to her own suicide. Eight drawings by Plath and a biographical note by Lois Ames. Highly collectible in this condition.
