Hand-colored copper-engraved print of Bishop's Gate in Norwich, England, dated 1789. Originally painted by J. Farington R.A. and engraved by William Russell Birch. Published in1789. Birch's work is widely collected by American and European museums. As an engraver he is best known by his 'Délices de la Grande Bretagne,' consisting of thirty-six plates of ancient buildings in Norwich and elsewhere, published in 1791.
