Why We Love This

The Fox's Frolic with pictures by Harry B. Neilson. Verses by Sir Francis Burnand. London Glasgow: Wm. Collins Sons Co., Ltd., no date, late-19th century. 46 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. Color-illustrated dust jacket, color-illustrated paper over boards matching the dust jacket, fully illustrated in chromo-lithographed color, and in black and white. The spectacle of foxes riding hounds, with a happy combination of pictures and verse. Quite rare, especially in dust jacket.

About L. Brook Rare Books

I've been a dealer in rare books and art for over 30 years. I spent my early years training and providing animals for films, stage and TV. It was great fun, and evolved into a love for finding rare books and art, with a bias towards things "dog, horse and cat." I look for rarity, condition, and price when deciding which items to offer for sale. Uniqueness and value are what will drive my site—and although my love of animals is obvious, I strive to offer items that are diverse and exciting.
