As described by Billy Blue Eye

Weller Pottery (established 1872) produced award-winning ceramics until 1948. This hand-painted and signed low bowl or vase is from the 1927-33 "Bonito" line. Designs were drawn freehand with India ink and colored with a mineral stain. Underside initialed to identify painter, but unable to decipher name. The bowl is moderately crazed and hand-incised "Weller Pottery" on the underside, which dates it to pre-1930, when hand incising ended. The "Bonito" line is Weller's last hand-painted release.
