Why We Love This

The Confessions of Nat Turner by William Styron. New York: Random House, 1967. First printing. Styron's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about the doomed rebel Nat Turner, who led a slave rebellion in 1831, believing that God was on his side. He slaughtered his master and others before being condemned to death. Styron vividly confronts the realities of slavery in 19th-century America. Book and dust jacket are in excellent condition, apart from slight fading to jacket spine.
