Why We Love This

Beautiful oil painting of a lovely young woman picking grapes in a garden by American artist, George Cochran Lambdin (1830-1896), who exhibited at Pennsylvania Academy of Arts beginning in 1848 and was elected to the National Academy in 1868. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and The Yale University Art Gallery among others. Signed "George Lambdin" on verso.
