As described by Coppermill Kitchen

Stunning piece with heavy iron handles held with three large copper rivets, and a very thick detailed brass handle on the opposite side of the pan for efficient handling and cooking. With dovetailed seams around the bottom and down the rear this saucepan is sure to be a conversation piece and a kitchen workhorse. Dovetailed seams were a highly sought-after and expensive smithing skill of the era and are the signature of a very well-made piece. Made circa 1880.
