Why We Love This

Colorful still life painting of flowers in a vase by Helen Gleiforst (American, 1903-1997). Circa 1950. Born in Crete, Nebraska, Gleiforst moved with her family to San Diego, California, and in 1920 attended the University of Oregon. Gleiforst studied under Nell Walker Warner in Carmel, California and painted plein air landscapes and florals. Signed "Gleiforst" bottom left. Unframed.

About Robert Azensky Fine Art

A 1979 graduate of the University of California in aesthetic studies and fine art photography, I have spent many years photographing the California mountains and coast. I met Ansel Adams in 1979 at his Carmel studio and have been collecting California plein air paintings since 1986. I offer a wide variety of artists and genres and hope you enjoy my passion for paintings and sculpture.
