18th-century copper engraving from the Vue De Paris series titled Vue De La Fontaine Des Innocents. Engraved by Madame Chéreau, widow of François Chéreau (1680-1729), official engraver to Louis XlV. Engraver's information lower left: A Paris Chez Alex Tessier, Suc. De Mme. Chéreau, Rue St. Jacques No. 10. Exquisitely framed with a marbled mat, ebony and giltwood frame with marble corner medallions.
