As described by
The French Interior in the Eighteenth Century by John Whitehead. New York: Dutton Studio, 1993. First Edition. 256 pages, with 263 striking illustrations of French furnishings and design of the 18th century, 247 of them in color. An important book on how the French people lived then and what they lived with. A few tiny spots on the endpaper and title page, otherwise a fine copy in boards and a pictorial dust jacket.
About the Seller
My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
