Why We Love This

1940s Art Deco églomisé dressing table/desk in very good condition, recently sprayed in black lacquer. The reverse painted decorations are mythological motifs with flying dragons, nude female figures, and horses. The background is all reverse-painted in faux-tortoise. There are no broken pieces of glass, however there are the natural age-related scratches mainly on the top. Kneehole: 19.5"L x 23.75"H. Desk is mirrored on all four sides. Stiehl Furniture, New York.
